Latte Anya

Here is Latte Anya! I made this card for
I used latte Anya again she is one of my favorites.  Of course I say that about all my GreetingFfarm stamps lol. I used patterned paper from the American Girl stack that I found at Michaels. The buttons are Stampin Up neutrals buttons. The fancy border is a Martha Stewart punch... not sure of the name. I colored Anya with copics and paper pieced her hat and cup sleeve.

Greeting Farm Challenge Time

Here is a card that I made for
on the Greeting Farm Blog. I actually won last weeks pearl challenge and was so surprised and excited. For this card I used Edward available here.  The challenge this week was a clean and simple challenge. I colored him with copics and used papers from a stack that has now become one of my favorites from MME its called breeze. I bought it at Micheals but when I tried to find it online it came up as Teresa Collins Carolina Breeze paper pack. I cut out the oval and distressed the edge poped up the white layers and Edward and thats about it!

A guick update!

Sam and I have been sick this past weekend so we have had to stay home. In between his naps and crying spells I decided to work on some of my projects. I actually ended up working on just one since it took me so long. Here it is...its my bible cover that I sewed all by myself. I know...I'm impressed with myself. It turned out great. The fabric is from the Stampin up mini catalog and for the flower I used a big shot die from Stampin up.

Wow its almost been a year!!!

I cant believe (or maybe I can) that I haven't posted anything in a year! I really need to do better but I just keep saying it and not doing it. Well needless to say we are a very busy family these days especially since out little Sam came along but I am gonna try to do better and also start posting some of the scrap booking things I've been doing on here also...and maybe some of my cards too! A lot of people have been asking me to do it but I just never seem to find much time to make a card or a scrapbook page unless its on one of my weekend retreats and those only happen 3 times a year. Speaking of which we are going in May so if anyone reading this is interested in a weekend away just let me know...we have room for more!

Now for a family update...the kids are doing really well. Hannah started softball a few weeks ago so that's is keeping us really busy. She is not liking it much these days but she signed up so I'm going to make her finish the season. Mallory well she is just Mallory. She is still very adventurous and always has an answer and a reason for everything she does. Just the other day at the pool she dunked Sam in and of course he was freaking out...when Jessica asked her why she did it she said "he just needed to be bapertized". That's just Mallory so no one is really surprised at what she does anymore. Sam is doing great and learning new things everyday. He will be a year old (yes I know its gone by soooo fast) April 30th so we are planning the big party. I think this is gonna be a good one. The girls are way too opinionated about their parties these days so I'm gonna take advantage of Sam's parties while I still can! Well that's all for now here are some recent pics.

Here is Sam after he was "Bapertized"

Here is Hannah and Isabella at thier slumber party!

And of course Mallory Kate!

Our little man is here!

Samuel William Rogers was born on April 30Th at Baptist hospital. He weighed 7lbs 2 oz and was 19 inches long. Labor and delivery was the best! I was able to breath through the contractions and relax....that is until the Dr broke my water. I had a epidural...and it worked like a charm this time unlike with Mallory. Labor started at 6:30 AM and by 12:14 he was in my arms. He had a little trouble breathing at first because he kept holding his breath and swallowed a lot of fluid but after a short stay in the NICU he was back with us and doing well.
Our hospital stay was very exciting. It started raining and didn't stop! Nashville was flooding and surrounding counties were flash flooding. Jessica had brought the girls to see their baby brother and we had to get them a hotel room because they couldn't get back home. On Sunday when we were suppose to be discharged... we were watching the news and realized that every road in and out of Nashville had been closed due to the flooding. We had no way out!!! I was trying to stay calm but when my doctor came in to do her last checkup before releasing me I started to lose it. I didn't want her and Robert to think it was postpartum depression but I just couldn't control it. I gathered myself and we decided to wait it out and see if any roads opened up. There were no hotels because they were all booked...and all I wanted was to be home in my own bed! To add to the stress the girls were still in Nashville too because they had to stay the night before so we had to get them home too. It all ended up working out...Robert drove the girls home by taking 440 to 65 then got on 840 in Franklin. He then came back to the hospital to get me and Sam and e made it home. At least we have a story to tell Sam when he gets older. The historic flood in Nashville is definitely gonna be a good one. Jessica said we should have named him Noah!
Since we have been home little Samuel has been doing great. His sisters love him to pieces and Hannah is constantly kissing and hugging on him. Mallory has done great..she loves him but doesn't pay a lot of attention to him. She just goes about her day as if nothing has changed. She is not at all jealous like I thought she would be. I cant help being sad when I think of us almost not having him! He is such a blessing and we are so glad that God chose to give us a son. Even though we weren't planning on having him...he has already brought a lot of joy into our lives and now we cant imagine not having him. So here are some pics of our little one and his sisters.

Its been forever!!!

OK so it has been forever since I have posted anything...sorry for the delay but life has really been fast paced at the Rogers house. Baby Samuel William will be here next Friday the 30Th if not before then. I have been having some contractions but they don't seem to be strong enough (according to the Dr not me they feel plenty strong enough to me) or close enough together to count...so we are just sitting and waiting. I am waking up every morning at 4 am for some reason...it could be the fact that it feels like he is trying to kick and punch his way out!
Hannah started playing softball a few weeks ago so that has kept us really busy as well. She is doing great which really surprises me after we tried soccer and it was a complete disaster. With soccer she didn't like the uniform so it was a fight every time we went to practice or a game. I made her finish out the season since she was the one who wanted to sign up in the first place. She didn't do too bad, she ran along with the kids but just wasn't aggressive enough to go after the ball. I asked her if she wanted to play softball when we got the sign up sheet but she said no. Jessica asked her if she wanted to and she said yes. So we signed her up and took her to the first practice...I was shocked when we got there because she just ran right out on the field with the other kids and acted like she had been playing her entire life! When she got up to bat she actually hit the ball! When we left she said "mom I love softball that was really fun" I asked her how she knew what to do and she said they had been playing at school. Anyway she had a game the other night and got to bat 3 times...she struck out all 3 times but was great playing outfield she actually got 2 kids out! She had another game tonight and struck out the first time but the second time she hit it and got on 1st base. Then after 2 more batters she ran home! I was so excited for her... she had a smile on her face from ear to ear! They won both games!

Mallory has been Mallory...getting into everything still and staying in trouble. She has such a strong personality! She makes me laugh and makes me so mad at the same time. She is excited about her baby brother but I know when he gets here it will be a struggle for her since she is so used to being the center of attention so I am going to have to be really creative with her and make her feel special!
Well that's all for now I will try to do much better keeping everyone updated on whats going on but no promises! I will post pics of the baby when he gets here. We are having a photographer come to our house when we get home from the hospital so we can gets some newborn pictures of him with his sisters. Here are a few pictures of the girls for now!

Mallory Update

Well it has been a while since I have posted anything...we have been super busy. A few months ago Mallory started limping on her right foot just slightly. We ignored it for a while because when I called the Dr. he asked if she was complaining or if there was any swelling or redness and there wasnt. No cuts bruises, swelling, or redness. So we waited a few days and after it didnt go away we took her to the dr. Again he said it was probably nothing since there were no signs of a break or fracture. He told us to wait about 2 weeks and if it wasnt any better to come back...and it was no better if anything it was worse. She still didnt complain but the limp was way more pronounced so we took her back and they did xrays and blood work to check for an inflammatory disease or pediatric arthritis. Both came back negative so he sent us home and told us to wait 2 more weeks. Well it got even worse. We tried not to talk about it in front of her because we didnt want her to fake it. she is a little bit of a drama queen. So when we got back from vacation it was worse and she started complaining that her leg hurt ... we took her to a pediatric bone and joint dr at Vanderbilt. He did more xrays and has ordered more blood work...in the mean time he has her in a cast to keep her from moving her foot so that it doesnt get any more irritated since it seems to be worse the more she walks on it. So that is our summer drama. Keep her in your thoughts..hopefully they will find out soon what is causing it. here are some pictures of her little pink cast...isnt it pitiful!

More pics to come later of our vacation.

Strawberry Patch!

We had never been to a strawberry patch to pick strawberries before even though we talked about it a lot it just never seemed to work out. So on this beautiful summer day we decided it was a good idea. It was a very hot day...but the girls had a good time or at least Mallory did. Hannah was not that into it after just a few minutes. Mallory kept trying to eat the strawberries and that was really grossing me out because they werent washed yet. I told her there were bugs on them but she didnt seem to mind. So while I was picking I noticed she was quiet I turned to look and ....Now you see them...

Now you don't. She ate every one of the berries in her basket...then got mad at Hannah because she wouldnt give her any of hers.

She had strawberry form head to toe!
There was a field of mopperglows (dandelions) so of course that was Hannah's favorite part.

Here was Mallory eating strawberries again!

When we got done we were so hot we decided to get some strawberry honey popsicles...they were very yummy....although Hannah didnt think so!

Ok here is more on what has been going on at the Rogers' house...we have new family members their names are Mickey and Minnie mouse. They are turtles that my husband surprised me with when I got home from a weekend I spent with family. Mallory is the only one besides Robert that will touch them so I guess they are hers. She is the one who named them also.
Here are the girls at the hotel after a long night of swimming Here is a picture of me with some of my cousins and thier kids at my uncles funeral.

And next my baby graduated from preschool on Thursday May 14th. It was a very sad day for me and Robert. I cant even imagine where the time has gone.

Here she is waiting for the program to start. She was so nervous I didnt really think she would actually go up on the stage and do her part.. but she really surprised us and did very good. Much better than the time I spent the money on a gymnastics recital and she cried the entire time. That was just last summer.

Here she is going on stage to get her diploma. She is telling her teacher that her favorite center is blocks.

Her with her aunt Jess!

Daddy wouldnt look at the camera because he was crying.

Thats all for now!
